Celtics move on
May 19, 2008

Paul Pierce vs. LeBron James. That’s what the game was like. One shot after the other made and missed by these two players. But again, even though LeBron scored 45 points and everyone is talking how good he was, I believe he performed poorly. Read more
CP3 Leads past Spurs
May 5, 2008

The defending champs San Antonio Spurs find themselves in the corner being beaten by the young talent of New Orleans Hornets - and Chris Paul.
It has been amazing to watch a young kid like Chris Paul, to dominate the floor and lead a team of talented players to victory over one of the most experienced and victorious teams in the NBA. A 6 ft. (1.82 mtrs.) tall, 22 year-old, leading a professional team now and many years into the future, makes more than one person think about what he/she has done with his/her life!
But it’s ok, even if watching players like Paul (with his talent) makes me think what I’ve done with my life?, it’s players like him that makes watching sports unbelievably fun. The Hornets-Spurs series is not over, it’s only going to get better, but as the stats show the Spurs lost 4-0 the last time the lost the first two games of the series.
Needless to say, having the greatest player in basketball history as your mentor has made a huge impact in Paul’s game.
Who’s that? MJ
Western Massacre
April 30, 2008
The Suns and Mavericks losing in the first round of the playoffs. Who would have thought? Two teams that can easily be the best teams in the Eastern Conference are now long gone.

One thing to think about: Do you think these two teams would be at the top of the Eastern Conference? How weak is the East compared to the West?
It’s sad to see it, but it’s now a reality. I guess we’ll see a Lakers/Hornets? vs. Celtics/Cavs?

Take your pick.
Rock solid…
March 19, 2008
There’s nothing better for a sports fan than having a streak going. Hitting streak, winning streak, any streak as long as it keeps our minds away from boycott-talks, steroid-talks, injury-talks or any other ‘talk’ that takes away from the excitement of the sports we like, and the teams we follow.
I know this happened yesterday, but I was thinking and trying to decide which rock is more solid than the other one…The
Rockies or The Rockets. Different sport, similar feats. Read more

Phoenix 88 - Celtics 72 (Friday Frebruary 22, 2008)
Shaq is on his way to prove himself -and everyone else. As a media entertainer, Shaq has gone publicly stating he wants a ring with his new team. Can he do it? We’ll have to wait and see. But it is definite he really wants it. As we have seen in the first two games he has played with his new team, we can all agree that energy and motivation is not something that is missing. We have seen Shaq doing things he has done in the past on his way to a championship. Diving for loose balls, a 14-rebound night (and many more to come), and even sitting on the bench and teaching the younger teammates a psychological lesson to stay focused on the game (Amare Stodoumaire) when things got physical with Kevin Garnett. Shaq’s showtime
February 12, 2008
Shaq is the man. Even with less than a month away from turning 36! He has done everything that a big-man could do. Won championships (four), rookie of the year (with the magic),
14 all-star appearances (two MVPs), three finals MVPs, etc, etc ,etc. Ok, that’s the past. Many are talking about how the Suns gave up “too much” in trading Shawn Marion for The Diesel, and how the Suns are going to regret making this trade. But think about it, yes, Shawn Marion is one of the best all-around players in the league and he’s six years younger than Shaq, but there’s more than versatility and age in running a successful team.
First, let me say that both the Heat and the Suns gained from this trade. How? Well, if you are the manager of the Heat, and your team is having the worst season in NBA history, what would you do? Look for an all-around player that will get you wins, and espcially in the future. Marion fits just perfect in the Heat, and with guys like Wade, Davis, and Cook, this team will actually have a future. But Read more
